Moscow, July 11 – Two people were killed and several others injured due to a drone attack carried out by Ukraine last night on the capital, مسکو, and other regions of Russia.
Igor Artemonov, the governor of the Lipetsk region, reported that one of the Ukrainian drones crashed in an agricultural area southwest of Russia, resulting in one fatality and injuries to another person, alongside a subsequent fire.
Dmitry Milyaev, governor of the Tula region, located about 200 kilometers south of Moscow, stated that a civilian was killed and another injured in a Ukrainian drone strike in the area.
In related news, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that its air defenses intercepted 155 Ukrainian drones، از جمله 11 targeting the capital, Moscow. The ministry added that most drones were destroyed over the regions of Kursk, Belgorod، و Bryansk, near the Ukrainian border, with four drones being downed in Lipetsk.
The Russian Civil Aviation Authority reported late last night that all flights were temporarily suspended at three airports in the Moscow region—Domodedovo, Vnukovo، و Zhukovsky—before resuming operations later.
Ukrainian forces have been targeting Russian border areas almost daily with drones and missiles as part of the ongoing conflict between the two sides that began in February 2022.
