Bali, July 12 – The Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency has extended its search operations for three more days following the sinking of the ferry “Tuno Pratama Jaya”. Eighteen people remain missing.
In a press statement, the agency’s Deputy Director of Search and Rescue Operations, Ribut Echo Suyanto, reported that yesterday’s search efforts resulted in the recovery of two bodies believed to be passengers from the sunken ferry, found in the southern region off the coast of Bali.
The ferry, which sank on July 2, was carrying 53 passengers, a crew of 12، و 22 vehicles when it departed from Ketapang Port in East Java.
