Preventing Smuggling: How ROP’s Foil of Vehicle Trafficking in Dhofar Impacts Local Business Security
مسقط: The General Department of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation, in collaboration with the Dhofar Governorate Police Command, has successfully thwarted an attempted vehicle smuggling operation and apprehended two suspects of Arab nationality.
As reported by the Royal Oman Police, the suspects had allegedly orchestrated the scheme in advance. One of the individuals is said to have rented the vehicle before transferring it to the other suspect, intending to illicitly transport it out of the country.
The police have confirmed that legal proceedings against the suspects are currently underway.
