Oman Air Launches Daily Muscat-Abu Dhabi Flights: Implications for Business Connectivity and Investment Opportunities
مسقط: Oman Air has announced the initiation of a new direct route between Muscat and Abu Dhabi, set to commence on July 9. This addition enhances the airline’s network within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and bolsters regional connectivity.
This daily service will provide travelers with convenient opportunities to journey between the two capitals. It also facilitates onward connections through Abu Dhabi, a prominent aviation hub in the region.
With the introduction of Abu Dhabi, Oman Air’s network will expand to include 49 destinations, of which 10 are situated within the GCC. The airline emphasizes that this new route demonstrates its dedication to enhancing regional connectivity, tourism, trade, and investment.
Con Korfiatis, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air, remarked that Abu Dhabi is a fitting inclusion in the airline’s network, given its significance as a key business and travel center.
“As we continue to optimize and grow our network, our focus remains on adding destinations that provide long-term value for our guests, support tourism and trade, and contribute to Oman’s broader economic goals,” he stated.
Abu Dhabi marks the latest addition to Oman Air’s network this year. The airline had previously launched flights to Taif in January and has announced upcoming services to Singapore, Tashkent, and Sochi. Notably, the first direct Dubai-Salalah service is also scheduled to start in July.
