Suhar Industrial City Welcomes 20 New Projects: Key Opportunities for Investors and Businesses in Oman
Suhar Industrial City Reports Strong Investment Activity in First Half of 2025
Suhar Industrial City, part of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates Madayn, has received 39 investment applications in the first six months of 2025. Out of these, 20 projects, amounting to RO 32 million, have been localized, covering a total area of 299,000 square meters.
Eng. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Mayasi, the Director General of Suhar Industrial City, announced that the total investment in the city has exceeded ۲.۳ میلیارد روپیه by mid-2025. Furthermore, the number of jobs created by the localized projects has reached 13,803. To date, the city has leased 11,196,338.66 square meters of its total land area of 28,397,206.51 square meters.
In terms of infrastructure development, Al Mayasi highlighted the completion of the second stage of consultancy services, which focuses on evaluating and enhancing the existing facilities and support services. He stated, “Work is ongoing on the remaining project stages, with detailed designs and tender documents currently being prepared. Stages 3 and 4 are expected to be finalized in the first quarter of next year. Additionally, plans are underway to expand green spaces in the area surrounding the industrial city’s sewage treatment plant.”
Regarding the integrated aluminium economic cluster project, Suhar Industrial City has developed an executive plan and established a project timeline. They have also commenced work on incentive packages to promote investment opportunities, with a consultancy study expected to be assigned in October.
Al Mayasi reaffirmed the industrial city’s dedication to attracting high-quality projects, diversifying its industrial landscape, and maximizing local value. During the first half of 2025, Suhar Industrial City engaged in 33 investor meetings, initiated three social responsibility projects, and participated in nine local events throughout the governorate.
