Salalah Free Zone Achieves Significant Growth in First Half of 2025
The Salalah Free Zone (SFZ), part of the Asyad Group, announced impressive results for the first half of 2025, successfully attracting six new projects with a total investment exceeding RO187 million. This achievement raises the cumulative investment in the zone to RO4.9 billion since its inception, highlighting its rising status as a global investment hub.
This robust performance is evident in the zone’s high occupancy rates: 51% of its leasable land and 87% of its warehouses are currently occupied. These figures reflect a growing demand for the infrastructure and services offered by the zone.
In addition to the new projects, seven strategic investment initiatives—totaling over RO80 million—have entered the pilot operation and construction phases. This activity underscores a strong level of investor confidence in the Salalah Free Zone, recognized for its reliability and potential as an attractive destination for international investments.
The zone’s success can be attributed to its strategic advantages, including a prime location at the crossroads of three continents, world-class infrastructure, and a range of investor-centric incentives. Its seamless integration with Salalah Port and Salalah Airport facilitates direct global connectivity, reinforcing its position as a leading industrial and logistics hub.
Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Tabuk, CEO of Salalah Free Zone, commented on these achievements, stating, "The indicators achieved in the first half of 2025 reaffirm growing investor confidence in our integrated environment.
