New Omani Quality Mark Requirements: What the First Product List Means for Your Business Competitiveness
Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP), through the Directorate General of Standards and Metrology, has announced the inaugural list of products mandated to bear the Omani Quality Mark.
This initial list includes Ordinary Portland Cement, Sulfate-Resisting Portland Cement, Portland Limestone Cement, and Ceramic Tiles. These products are required to meet established international and regional standards.
In line with this, MoCIIP has called on conformity assessment bodies to register as accredited entities authorized to issue licenses for the Omani Quality Mark. Interested parties must submit their applications via the Hazm Platform at www.hazm.gov.om.
