<strong>375 investment opportunities<\/strong> through the &#8216;Tatweer&#8217; platform in the first four months of 2026, up from 337 opportunities during the same period in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry highlighted that the &#8216;Tatweer&#8217; platform supports investors and entrepreneurs by providing easy access to promising projects in food security and agricultural development via its digital website and smartphone application.<\/p>\n<p>Haban bin Mohammed al Balushi, Director-General of Lands at the ministry, explained that key incentives include grace periods of up to five years for food security projects, enhancing their economic feasibility and encouraging investment in this critical sector.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that investment site selection follows strict criteria to ensure site readiness, economic viability, and sustainability. These criteria include soil quality, water availability, and suitability for the targeted agricultural or food-related activities, thereby increasing the likelihood of project success and longevity.<\/p>\n<p>Al Balushi added that &#8216;Tatweer&#8217; targets multiple economic sectors and is open to all government departments wishing to offer land for investment.
