According to Cirium Aviation Analytics, airlines reported an average of 242 seats per flight, based on an average load factor of 80%—the proportion of paying passengers relative to available seat-miles. While some aircraft, such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777, can accommodate more passengers, this figure represents an overall average across various aircraft.
These cancellations encompass flights traveling to and from the Middle East, excluding intra-regional flights during this timeframe. From February 28 to March 13, more than 98,000 flights were scheduled in and out of the Middle East, with over 52,000 cancellations recorded.
