Oman’s New Golden Residency Programme and Elite Companies Initiative: Key Opportunities for Investors and Entrepreneurs

المسكات عنب طيب الشذا: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) is set to organize an event titled ‘Sustainable Business Environment’ on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Recreation.

The event will take place under the patronage of HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar, and will include the participation of Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, alongside dignitaries, investors, and officials from both the public and private sectors.

Key highlights of the event include the launch of the Golden Residency Programme for investors, which aims to provide a new pathway for investors and their families to settle in a secure and opportunity-rich environment. Additionally, the Elite Companies Initiative will be introduced, aimed at empowering high-performing Omani firms to expand both locally and internationally through a comprehensive array of incentives and facilities.

Moreover, the event will showcase the inauguration of the Commercial Registration (CR) Transfer Service on the Oman Business Platform, utilizing electronic authentication. This advancement represents a significant move towards digitizing business transactions, thereby minimizing the time and cost burdens on investors.

ال Sustainable Business Environment event will also feature the signing of strategic cooperation agreements with various institutions, including Sultan Qaboos University, the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech), the Oman Energy Association (OPAL), and eBinaa Professional Services LLC, focusing on the development of the construction sector.

Mubarak bin Mohammed al Dohani, Director-General of Planning at MoCIIP and Head of the Digital Transformation Team, emphasized the ministry’s commitment to enhancing Oman’s position as a preferential global investment destination. He noted that these initiatives are designed to provide a stable and attractive business landscape that fosters opportunities for long-term growth. Furthermore, they aim to empower competitive Omani companies to enter regional and international markets while accelerating the digital transformation of business processes for improved efficiency and transparency.

In conclusion, al Dohani reiterated that the MoCIIP is dedicated to evolving the construction sector in alignment with modern and sustainable standards. This includes fostering partnerships with academic institutions and the private sector to cultivate national talent and support innovation, thereby advancing the goals of رؤية عُمان 2040 in establishing a diversified, knowledge-based, and innovation-driven economy.
