New Health Insurance Claims Management Firm Launches in Oman: Implications for Investors and Business Owners

Green Line Health Insurance Claims Management Company Established in Oman

Today marks the launch of the first company in Oman dedicated to health insurance claims management, the Green Line Health Insurance Claims Management Company. This innovative enterprise is the first in the country to receive licensing for this specific activity and aligns with Oman Vision 2040, which seeks to offer services that meet global standards through advanced technology. The initiative also aims to strengthen national capabilities in this emerging field.

Faisal Hamad Al Rashdi, Co-founder and CEO of Green Line Insurance Services, highlighted his extensive experience in the health insurance sector, which has made him acutely aware of the operational challenges faced by insurance companies, healthcare providers, and policyholders alike.

Identifying a significant gap in claims management, Al Rashdi moved to establish this company, especially following the Financial Services Authority’s (FSA) announcement regarding the initiation of applications for independent health insurance claims management activities. This development presents a unique opportunity to create a locally specialized company that will enhance this vital sector.

Al Rashdi noted a critical lack of domestic expertise in health insurance claims management, with many operations currently managed by foreign entities from outside Oman. This reliance has impacted service quality and speed, raising concerns about the potential for sensitive health data to be compromised. The FSA has taken measures to ensure data protection within the country by issuing clear legislation.

He emphasized that Green Line serves as a reliable source, driven by local expertise, which meets market demands through its accessibility to clients. This proximity is expected to enhance service quality and expedite the claims process.

Al Rashdi acknowledged that transitions in any sector can be challenging, particularly when long-standing relationships exist with external service providers. However, he stressed the importance of building trust and demonstrating readiness to deliver high-quality services that fulfill the needs of targeted groups, in full compliance with national regulations.

Green Line offers a comprehensive suite of services in health insurance claims management, adhering to international standards. Services include accurate and prompt claim management, as well as medical and administrative verification utilizing smart systems that detect errors and duplication—beneficial for efficient time management. The company will also oversee medical network management, from contracting with hospitals and clinics to ensuring service quality for policyholders, alongside data analysis and smart reporting to aid insurance companies in making informed decisions.

The company will leverage digital solutions and modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, to facilitate faster data analysis and automate routine tasks through Robotic Process Automation (RPA). This approach aims to minimize manual errors and improve efficiency. Furthermore, Green Line is fully integrated with the “Dhamani” platform developed by the FSA for comprehensive electronic operations.

Al Rashdi underscored the company’s commitment to data confidentiality, stating that client data will be stored exclusively on company-owned servers, avoiding external data storage to maintain stringent control over information security. The company employs advanced cybersecurity measures, including encryption during data transmission and storage, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. Additionally, access to sensitive information will be strictly regulated based on employee roles, ensuring compliance with all local and international data protection laws. Regular audits will be performed to guarantee ongoing adherence to these standards.
