MUSCAT: In a significant move to reinforce Oman’s status as a regional logistics hub, the Oman Logistics Academy (OLA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with WingsWay Training Institute, a prominent Dubai-based provider of logistics and supply chain training services.

The agreement was formalized by Dr. Mansoor bin Mahfoodh al Qasimi, CEO of Oman Logistics Academy, and Naveen Kumar Jakkapalli, Co-founder and CEO of WingsWay Training Institute. This partnership will offer a range of internationally accredited certification programs in logistics, supply chain management, procurement, and contract management. These programs align with Oman Vision 2040, supporting the Sultanate’s aim to become a world-class logistics hub and diversify its economy through enhanced knowledge and skills development.

Dr. Al Qasimi highlighted the importance of the MoU, calling it a milestone in Oman’s human capital development: “This MoU represents a transformative step in Oman’s logistics education journey. By partnering with WingsWay, we are equipping young Omanis with the skills, knowledge, and global exposure necessary to thrive in this crucial sector.”

For WingsWay, the collaboration underscores its dedication to nurturing regional talent. Naveen Kumar Jakkapalli stated, “We are honoured to work with Oman Logistics Academy. Our expertise across the GCC and beyond, combined with Oman’s deep understanding of industry requirements for corporate, government, and individual learners, will enable the production of future-ready logistics professionals with globally recognized capabilities.”

The agreement also introduces a training-for-employment model designed to bridge the gap between education and job opportunities. This initiative will prepare job seekers with technical qualifications and clear career paths within Oman’s growing logistics sector. Courses will be offered in both Arabic and English to ensure accessibility for a broad audience of professionals and students.

Beyond logistics and supply chain disciplines, the partnership will expand training offerings to include aviation, IT, project management, finance, human resources, leadership, and soft skills. Participants will have opportunities to earn certifications from renowned global institutions such as CILT (UK), CIPS (UK), IFPSM (Finland), CPD (UK), CompTIA (US), IATA (Canada), and APS (US).
