Oman’s New One-Stop Digital Platform for Tourism Packages: What It Means for Investors and Entrepreneurs
The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has introduced a dedicated digital platform on its promotional website, Experience Oman, to facilitate the booking of tourism packages.
This new platform serves as a centralized digital gateway for tourism packages provided by sector partners, with a special focus on those related to the IRONMAN championship. It aims to simplify trip planning for participants, their guests, and visitors.
By linking local tourism companies and Omani small and medium enterprises with specific international markets, the platform offers comprehensive services including flights, accommodation, transportation, tour operations, guided tours, and experiential activities.
Currently, the platform features over 200 tourism service providers, more than 350 tourism experiences, 56 tourism packages, and upwards of 140 hotel establishments.
This initiative supports the Ministry’s strategic goal to boost sports tourism and leverage major international events, thereby enhancing tourism and economic benefits while reinforcing Oman’s status as a premier global destination for international events.
