GCC Trade Dialogue at Oman Business Forum: Key Insights for Investors and Entrepreneurs in the Region
MUSCAT: The Oman Business Forum, under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, is set to conduct its third trade dialogue session on October 21 (Tuesday). This session will be held at the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science in Muscat, featuring a panel of prominent economic leaders and experts from the region.
The dialogue will delve into the significance of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) cooperation in the context of global economic shifts, particularly its role in promoting industrial integration, digital transformation, economic diversification, and sustainability. Key discussions will highlight the advantages of enhancing energy corridors, digital infrastructure, and logistics services among GCC nations.
Vital topics will include developing a more interconnected Gulf economy through collaboration in areas such as the circular economy, energy, technology, and human resources. Additionally, the impact of joint industrial policies aimed at achieving sustainable competitive advantages for the region will be examined.
His Highness Sayyid Dr Adham bin Turki al Said noted that today’s regional cooperation transcends mere borders and markets, focusing instead on shared objectives. He emphasized that tackling challenges and seizing opportunities in digital integration, energy transition, and sustainable growth necessitates coordinated efforts and collective strategic thinking—goals that the Trade Dialogues sessions strive to promote through active engagement and discussion.
This session also supports Oman’s initiatives to enhance its role as a regional hub for markets and sustainable industries, in line with the ambitions of Oman Vision 2040, which focuses on economic diversification, knowledge-based development, partnerships, and regional integration.
