Crowne Plaza Qurum Reopens After Renovation: What This Means for Oman’s Hospitality and Investment Opportunities

Muscat: Gulf Hotels (Oman) Company Limited has announced that the renovation project of the Crowne Plaza Hotel – Muscat, Qurum is now substantially complete, according to a disclosure to the Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX).

The hotel resumed operations on September 1, 2025, reopening approximately 120 renovated rooms along with an all-day dining restaurant and other food and beverage facilities.

Renovation work on the remaining 80 rooms is still ongoing and is expected to be completed by September 30, 2025, when those rooms will also become operational.

Earlier, on February 23, 2025, Gulf Hotels had informed the Muscat Stock Exchange about the temporary closure of the Crowne Plaza Hotel – Muscat, Qurum for a three-month room renovation project scheduled from June to August 2025.
