Ahmed bin Ali al Mahrouqi, Vice President of Sales at Oman Air, stated that the launch of direct charter flights between Moscow and Salalah aligns with the airline’s strategic focus on developing key markets with strong growth potential. He emphasized that providing dedicated direct air services fulfills traveler demand and supports Oman Air’s broader connectivity goals.
Highlighting the importance of the Russian market, Al Mahrouqi noted that this new service will facilitate increased tourist access to Dhofar Governorate. He projected that the seasonal flights are expected to draw at least 7,000 visitors to Salalah during the inaugural season.
