Ibri Industrial City Secures RO 2 Million Investments: How This Boosts Opportunities for Businesses in Oman
IBRI: Ibri Industrial City, a key industrial hub managed by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), has welcomed two new industrial projects in 2025, with a total investment of RO 2 million. This initiative underscores the city’s commitment to fostering economic diversification in the Al Dhahirah Governorate.
The new projects collectively cover 60,000 square metres, raising the cumulative investment in Ibri Industrial City to approximately RO 22.6 million by the end of 2025. Currently, the total leased area within the city stands at about 250,000 square metres, indicating an increasing interest from investors.
Salah bin Nasser al Alawi, the Director General of Ibri Industrial City, announced that Madayn plans to undertake several development projects during the یازدهمین برنامه توسعه پنج ساله (2026-2030) to enhance the city’s infrastructure and services. Upcoming initiatives include constructing a security fence, an administrative building, and the Madayn Entrepreneurial Complex, developed in collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority. Additional projects include improving protective measures for service areas and a green initiative to expand the city’s green spaces.
Al Alawi also noted ongoing efforts to finalize an integrated service station project, which will feature a fuel station, rest facilities, and maintenance services for trucks and vehicles. This facility aims to support companies operating within the industrial city, as well as employees, nearby residents, and highway users.
Ibri Industrial City continues to enhance its appeal as an investment destination by offering fully developed infrastructure and essential services, including internal road networks, lighting, electricity, water supply, and sewage systems. The industrial city seeks to attract a diverse range of industrial, commercial, and service activities, particularly in light and medium industries across various sectors.
Its strategic location near major regional trade routes and proximity to land border crossings with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates further positions Ibri Industrial City as a potential logistics and manufacturing gateway. This geographic advantage allows businesses to access regional markets more efficiently, thus contributing to economic development in the surrounding governorate.
