MUSCAT: The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) has released the 44th edition of the Duqm Economist, presenting a comprehensive collection of economic files, reports, and surveys that spotlight the latest advancements in investment and development within Oman’s special economic zones, free zones, and industrial cities.
This edition features a special report detailing 189 promising investment opportunities across various sectors, including industry, logistics, renewable energy, mining, tourism, food industries, and advanced technologies within these zones.
A key report addresses the question, “Why Choose the Special Economic Zone at Duqm for Investment?”, highlighting the zone’s strategic location, state-of-the-art infrastructure, attractive investment incentives, and an integrated logistics ecosystem that supports a diverse range of economic activities.
The publication also showcases the newest investment projects, featuring the signing of 10 investment agreements and memoranda of cooperation in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, amounting to a total investment value of RO 2.9 billion. Furthermore, new investment agreements in other economic and free zones exceed RO 200 million, covering sectors such as manufacturing, energy, electric vehicles, chemicals, steel, pipes, and pharmaceuticals.
