Nationwide Survey Launched: What It Means for Improving Public Service Efficiency and Business Environment in Oman
MUSCAT: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has launched the sixth round of its Government Services Satisfaction Survey, covering all of Oman’s governorates. Fieldwork for the survey will continue until June 26.
This survey evaluates services provided to citizens by governors’ offices and other government entities operating at the governorate level. Its primary goal is to assess performance and identify areas in need of improvement.
The initiative supports NCSI’s commitment to delivering reliable data and indicators that aid decision-making and enhance public service delivery based on direct citizens’ feedback.
Mahfoudh bin Salem al Musharfi, Director of the Public Opinion Measurement Department at NCSI, emphasized the survey’s role as a vital tool for measuring beneficiary satisfaction and identifying key priority areas for development. He stated, “The findings will help improve government performance and ensure that services meet citizens’ expectations.”
The survey targets Omani citizens aged 18 and above, with selected participants urged to provide honest and transparent responses.
Al Musharfi highlighted the importance of public participation, noting that citizens’ feedback offers crucial insights that directly influence policy decisions and service improvements.
The results of this survey are expected to support ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and responsiveness of public services across the Sultanate of Oman, reinforcing a data-driven approach to public sector development. — ONA
