He noted that the city has already attracted investment projects exceeding RO 2.1 million, indicative of rising investor interest.
The industrial city comprises 1,172 industrial plots و 258 logistics plots, offering a variety of options for businesses looking to expand.
During the meeting, officials underscored the city’s advantageous location along the Al Batinah Expressway, providing direct access to ports, airports, and significant domestic and regional markets. This location is expected to enhance supply chains and facilitate the movement of goods throughout Oman.
Madayn is focusing on attracting investments in petrochemicals, construction materials, recycling and environmental industries, logistics, and food and agricultural processing.
To incentivize early investors, the industrial city is offering a package that includes a full rent exemption for the first two years, followed by a 50 percent discount for the subsequent three years.
Officials reported that infrastructure preparations are on track, with detailed designs finalized and tenders issued for development works. Construction of roads, utility networks, and support facilities is slated to commence later this year.
Madayn’s long-term vision for Suwaiq Industrial City aims to attract high-value local and international investments, support industrial expansion, create sustainable employment opportunities, and strengthen Oman’s industrial ecosystem in line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
