OMIFCO IPO Opens: What an 8.3% Dividend Yield Means for Investors and Business Growth in Oman
MUSCAT, JUNE 15 – Oman India Fertiliser Company (OMIFCO) has announced an attractive dividend yield range of 7.8 to 8.3 percent for 2026, ahead of its initial public offering (IPO) opening on Monday.
The company plans to distribute a minimum dividend of 12.1 baisa per share, amounting to RO 80.8 million for the fiscal year ending December 2026. Of this total, 6.8 baisa per share is scheduled for payment in September 2026. The projected dividend yield is based on an IPO price range of 146 to 156 baisa per share.
This IPO represents one of the most significant listings on the Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) in recent years. It forms part of the broader divestment strategy led by the Oman Investment Authority. Existing shareholders, including OQ Group along with Indian fertiliser cooperatives KRIBHCO and IFFCO, which co-own OMIFCO, are reducing their stakes. Bank Muscat serves as the issue manager, while Muscat Clearing and Depository will manage settlement procedures.
To generate investor interest, OMIFCO will conduct a series of roadshows throughout Oman. The campaign kicks off on June 16 in Sur at the Grand Sur Hotel, followed by events in Nizwa on June 17, Salalah on June 21, Suhar on June 23, and concludes in Muscat on June 24 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. Each session is scheduled from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
OMIFCO operates a world-scale fertiliser manufacturing complex in Sur, benefiting from competitive natural gas prices under a supply agreement with Integrated Gas Company. According to its prospectus, the company ranks in the second quartile globally for urea exporters in terms of cost competitiveness.
