Oman's First Biodiesel Filling Station Opens in Duqm
OOMCO has opened the Duqm Gateway Station in the Duqm Special Economic Zone, the first filling station in Oman to dispense biodiesel.
Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) has opened the Duqm Gateway Station in the Duqm Special Economic Zone. The company and the Oman Observer describe it as the first filling station in the country to dispense biodiesel.
The site is built around heavy transport. Beyond fuel, it offers logistics services for trucks and tankers, including maintenance areas, oil changes, truck washing and top-loading systems. OOMCO's press release puts the investment at more than OMR 0.5 million.
The station adds to OOMCO's presence in Duqm, where it also runs a marine bunker terminal at the port. Reports did not say which biodiesel blends it sells.
