Oman Launches Winter Tourism Campaign for 2025/26
The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has promoted Oman's 2025/26 winter season with digital campaigns aimed at Gulf, Asian and European visitors.

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) has launched its promotion for Oman's 2025/26 winter season. Its digital campaigns target the GCC, Asia and Europe, with the local and Gulf markets as the main focus. The two reports give the campaign slogan differently: Oman Observer quotes "Experience Our Winter", while Times of Oman gives "Try Our Winter".
The plan includes short promotional videos, content made with small and medium enterprises, social media campaigns, trips for travel agents and media, and attendance at international tourism exhibitions. It promotes desert and mountain camping, cave exploration, wildlife and beach trips, and cultural events.
Last season, 93,000 tourists arrived on 588 charter flights, up 26 percent on the season before. For this season the ministry expected more than 640 charter flights carrying 110,000 tourists. Visitors from Russia rose by 140 percent through October 2025.
The cruise ship Islamic Cruise made its first stop at Salalah port this winter.
Status
I found no end-of-season figures for 2025/26 yet, so the charter and visitor numbers above are the ministry's projections.
