IHG Signs First voco Hotel in Oman at Al Mouj Muscat

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Golden Group Holding for voco Muscat Al Mouj. It is the first voco hotel in Oman. The hotel will have 251 rooms and suites in the Al Mouj district, close to Muscat International Airport.

Reports dated 24 to 26 July 2025 said the hotel was planned to open in the fourth quarter of 2025, which later reports described as "later this year".

IHG runs nine hotels in Oman across five brands: Six Senses, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo and Holiday Inn. Three more Oman hotels are in its pipeline, due to open within three to five years.

The voco brand launched in 2018. It has more than 100 open hotels and more than 95 in its pipeline worldwide.

Status

I could not confirm whether voco Muscat Al Mouj has opened. The IHG release itself was not available to me, so the details above come from the two reports.
